The DUI Charging Decision In Tampa

After the presentation of your case to the State Attorney, the State Attorney will make a determination as to what action is appropriate. The victim will be informed of the results of this decision. The State Attorney's Office may do any of the following:
1. File an Information. The information is a formal document filed with the Clerk's Office stating the charge filed against the defendant. 2. No File an Information. A formal document or Letter of Release stating that the facts and circumstances as presented do not warrant prosecution at this time.
